Ms. Bennett
I live in Greenfield with my husband, our son, a cat called Mama,
a guinea pig with a variety of names (Piggy Wigs, Mr. Pig, Wiggins- you get the idea), and our adopted dog Ruby.

I have my undergraduate degree in Marine Biology and have a background in aquaculture. One of my first jobs after college was working for the fish farm in Turners Falls. I also worked for Eddie's Wheels in Shelburne Falls for a few years!

Starting in 2004 I worked in the UMass Biology Department managing their zebrafish and cichlid facilities. Fish are a great research model for studying development.

In 2014 I decided to change careers and joined the Bridges to the Future program at UMass to earn my M.Ed. I completed a full year of student teaching at GHS teaching 8th-grade science and then was hired in the same position! This will be my eighth year at GHS and for the last several years I have also been the 8th-grade class advisor.

I also steward (take care of and stock) the Little Free Library in Hillside Park which helps lots of children's books find new homes.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions, ideas, or concerns.
