Got it?

Within lessons in our new workbooks there are small sections titled "Assess Your Understanding". These consist of a few questions that ask students to Define, Summarize, Infer, Predict, Describe, Classify, Explain, Review, or Interpret. After those questions is a section called Got It? that then asks a student to check of "I get it..." or "I need extra help with..."

I'm asking students to keep track of these Got It? sections by writing down the topic and if they checked off "I get it..." or "I need extra help with...". My hope is that students are honest with themselves and follow through with getting extra help. That extra help will look different for each student, but could involve seeing me after school Wednesday, re-reading sections of the book (either the paper copy or the electronic version), reviewing terms on Quizlet, and/or checking out some review material on my website.
In our Digital Dashboard I've added a link to this worksheet where I will keep a running list of the dates, page numbers, and the topics. Students will fill their own sheets in as we move forward this year.
