I probably won't post much until we get closer to the beginning of the school year, but I want to let you know that a spectacular event will be happening in the sky on August 21st this year.
A total solar eclipse!
If you stay in MA you'll experience a partial eclipse , but you'll have to travel to experience the total eclipse of the sun. Be aware that you need special glasses to view the eclipse safely.

And in case you were wondering what my plans are for the summer- I'll be working hard painting our barn, wearing my $5 hat from the flea market to stay out of the sun.
What is it with teachers and painting in the summer??
We will be spending this Friday at Green River Park. Everyone has worked hard and deserves a day of fun and relaxation.
We'll have a variety of equipment to play games and sports. We'll also be launching our soda bottle rockets!
We'll be walking to and from the building. Please be sure to bring a water bottle, sunblock lotion, bug spray (apply prior to arrival at GHS due to asthma and allergies), appropriate footwear, swimsuit/towel/change of clothes (if choosing to swim), any snacks you would like, and lunch if you did not order school lunch.
