Dr. King was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964 and we honor him every year on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, a federal holiday since 1986.

We're going to subject these new little grass plants to a variety of environmental factors to illustrate how the environment influences the growth of an organism. After reviewing independent and dependent variables, each class chose an independent variable to change: compost from our worm bin vs. soil, V8, hydrogen peroixide, and soda vs. water. We will be measuring and graphing the growth of the plants (our dependent variable). What will our graphs look like?
