Check out the final version of the Spirit Week Lip Dub! All the 8th graders are in purple :)

We've been talking about testable and non-testable questions. From there, students formed their own questions to look at independent and dependent variables affecting plant growth. We will be using Wisconsin Fast Plants for these experiments- here is a time lapse video of them in action. Students could choose one variable to change regarding food, space, light and water.

Not only do these sort of environmental factors affect growth, but genetics play a part as well. We will be diving deeper into that subject next!

"We spend 60% of our communication time listening, but we only retain about 25% of what we hear. Learn some practical tips to improve your listening skills in this TED talk."

I think this Zaption presents some great tips for not only students, but adults as well. There are some questions and open responses embedded- I'm curious to hear your thoughts!
