I will be giving students a quiz next week on: earth's layers, continental drift, plate tectonics and plate boundaries. In every Google Classroom there is a link to a review slide show. Students can also go back to the last three homework assignments (also on Google Classroom) for review.

One of my goals this year it to help students work on their science specific vocabulary. I was chatting with Ms. Zimmerman and she brought up Quizlet. I had heard some students talk about it last year, but hadn't looked into it yet. I made an account, looked at some sets, made a glossary set with the words in our current list, and even attended a webinar! One of the features I'm excited to try is Quizlet Live where students compete against each other in real time.

One homework assignment this week via Google Classroom was for students to create a free account and join my class on Quizlet. I've started creating and adding study sets for students to use. You can find links to some those sets in my Review Material page and you do not need to have an account to view them, so please check them out at home!

A teacher on the webinar recommended students review the material 2-3 times per week because he saw some of his students that started with scores of 30% were eventually getting scores of 80%.
