Penny Wars: During lunch students can vote with pennies and other coins/bills. All pennies are a positive point, but all other coins/bills counts against!
Bleacher Wars: We still need PURPLE decorations for our section of the bleachers. We cannot use paint, spray snow or silly string, or decorate the stairs/railings.

Black Light Dance: On Friday 11/18 Student Council is hosting a Black Light Dance . There is a permission slip for the any 8th graders that want to attend. Casual dress, 7-10PM, $5 entrance fee.
Eight graders just voted for their Student Council Representatives. Every student that ran for a position gave an outstanding speech and should be congratulated!
Next week we will have Parent Conferences. Parents can contact Amy Benoit at 413-772-1350 x1129 in Guidance to schedule a time to meet with a teacher.
As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday, the school will have Spirit Week which will involve Penny Wars, Bleacher Wars, Dress-up Days, Black Light Dance and a Pep Rally. There is a permission slip for the any 8th graders that want to attend the Black Light Dance. Grades 9-12 will also put on a lip-sync skit, but 8th grade will not participate in that this year.
The class color for 8th grade is PURPLE so be on the lookout for any fun decorations/tshirts in that color.
One other note for the year- 8th grade does not conduct any fundraisers during the year. Once they become 9th graders and have to pay class dues they can run fundraisers.
